Sekander Zulker Nayeen, IRIBD’s Associate Director and a researcher with the CJD, delivered a lecture on civil litigation at the Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event was organized by the JU Department of Law and Justice and supported by the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST).
Mohammad Golam Sawar, human rights research coordinator for IRIBD and Lecturer, Dept. of Law at the University of Dhaka, conducted a session titled ‘The tension between Culture and Women’s Human Rights: Towards Harmonization‘ at a human rights summer school with PROSHIKA in Manikganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Rezwan Siddiqui, IRIBD’s development research coordinator has been awarded Local Pathway Fellowship by the UN Sustainable Development Solution Network (SDSN-Youth). This will allow him to network with a host of global young thinkers who are urban planners, sustainability advocates, researchers and innovators from more than 50 cities across the world and work toward advancement of local dialogues, collaborations and problem solving around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
